The Glacier Express to Zermatt
- Our train started moving at 8 AM, and as we glided along the tracks, the foggy sunrise made the sky and snow look beautiful. Even with the sun behind the clouds, the landscape was breathtaking.
- We booked the Excellence Class, and it was worth every penny. The Glacier Express was sleek and modern, with floor-to-ceiling windows that let us take in every stunning view. The seats were incredibly comfortable, making the ride feel like a luxury retreat.
- Sitting in the dining car, we enjoyed coffee while waiting for the six-course meal ahead. Each dish was as colorful as it was delicious, but I found myself eating slowly as I stared out the window, completely mesmerized by the snow-covered mountains and quaint villages passing by.
- One of my favorite features of the Excellence Class was the private minibar tucked away at the back of the train. It became our go-to hangout spot, with plenty of space to stand, stretch, and enjoy a drink while watching the landscapes shift outside.
- The ride was incredibly cozy, and with each mile, I felt more relaxed. Before I knew it, our journey had come to an end, and it was time to step off the train and into the winter wonderland of Zermatt, ready for the next part of our adventure in Zermatt.
