Two days in Guatemala with Carolina Herrera

Experiencing Guatemala with Carolina Herrera was one of those true pinch-me moments. The beauty of Antigua left me in awe, but what really stayed with me was the time spent connecting with other creators from across Latin America. Here’s a glimpse of my days in Antigua.

Day 1

  • Arrival at Casa Herrera, Village Bokéh: My trip started with a flight, and I challenged myself to pack only a carry-on! I made a quick stop at the Carolina Herrera store in the Panama airport and fell in love with a pair of navy blue heels so I had to take them with me. Once in Guatemala, a driver took us straight to our home in Antigua: Casa Herrera (aka: Villa Bokeh.
  • Antigua Tuk Tuk Tour: After getting settled in my room (which was beyond stunning and probably my favorite room I’ve ever stayed at during a brand trip), we took a Tuk Tuk tour to explore the town and markets of Antigua.
  • A Carolina Herrera Beauty Dinner: The first evening was magical. We had a beautiful dinner at Casa Herrera inside a greenhouse-like glass room that was reserved just for us and it was just great to bond with the girls and get to know the Carolina Herrera Beauty team.

Day 2

  • Morning Yoga and Workout: Started the day with a kick-ass morning workout followed by a yoga session with the Carolina Herrera team.
  • Breakfast & coffee at Casa Herrera: We grabbed breakfast & a quick coffee at the Hotel before an exciting afternoon of creative workshops.
  • Natural Dye Workshop: We made our own scarves using natural dyes! It was such a unique experience, and I loved that the scarves were handmade by local women.
  • Poolside Beauty Session: After the workshops, I headed back to the hotel for a shoot by the pool where I got to try a range of Carolina Herrera beauty products. It was pure bliss!
  • Final Night Dinner: My final night was spent at a special cocktail dinner with all the creators and the CH team, all wearing a full look from Carolina Herrera and it was the perfect way to wrap the work day.

Day 3

  • Final Breakfast: I had one last breakfast with the girls which was beyond magical because the sun came out and we could see the most magical view of the volcano from our terrace.
  • Final Reflection: This trip was a dream come true for me. Three years ago, I made a list of brands I dreamed of working with, and Carolina Herrera was right at the top. It felt especially meaningful because lately I’d been feeling like I’d lost a bit of my spark and this trip reminded me how much creative energy there still is to tap into and it made me so grateful that I get to call this my job. A huge thank you to the Carolina Herrera team for such a flawless, thoughtful getaway, and to the amazing creators I met along the way *you were all true “girls’ girls”.
