Singapore Itinerary (3 nights)

I’m going to have to come back again for sure. There was too much to do in so little time that I regret making this a three-night trip. Maybe four or five nights would have been enough. If and when I come back I’d like to stay at the Marina Bay Sands hotel, it just seems too iconic to pass up.

Arrival Day

  • Four Seasons – We arrived in Singapore around late afternoon so unfortunately we didn’t have too much time for activities after getting settled into our hotel. This was one of the more forgettable Four Seasons rooms we’ve stayed at, but the hotel was pretty and in a great location.
  • Orchard Blvd – All of the high-end shopping is in this area and if you don’t mind getting some miles under your legs it’s worth exploring as there are multiple boutiques for all your major designer brands.
  • Nobu – We had dinner at Nobu which is in the Four Seasons. Nicky wanted to see if it was better in Asia than the U.S. but his verdict was the same: Nobu is overpriced mid-quality sushi.

Day 2

  • Botanical Gardens – A must see! I didn’t think I would witness something so soon that tops Sydney’s public garden, but this was on a different level. Be prepared to walk a lot.
  • Orchard Blvd (again!) – yes you knew I had to go again. The shopping here is that good in terms of options, but prices are basically the same as in the US.
  • Sentosa Island – Lots of activities and numerous to list here. Basically a fun zone.
  • Shoukouwa – Our first Michelin star restaurant of the trip was a 2-star authentic Japanese sushi restaurant. Nicky and I agree this was the best sushi we’ve EVER had. Alongside the omakase we enjoyed a bottle of premium sake. The full experience is pricey but worth it if you love seafood. All said and done this ranks as top 3 of the 20+ Michelin restaurants we’ve been to.

Day 3

  • Gardens by the Bay – Worth visiting if you can’t get to the botanical gardens but I wouldn’t recommend eating here.
  • Marina Bay Sands – Hotel and futuristic mall that outshines anything you’ll see in the U.S. You can go shopping here as well as there are a lot of great options to choose from. I found some great pieces!
  • Cloundstreet – This was our second Michelin experience in Singapore (another 2-star), and we absolutely loved it. We are starting to see a pattern of two-star restaurants being our favorites.
  • Ce La Vi – Rooftop lounge atop the Marina Bay Sands. Cool for getting a good view of the city and a nightcap.
